Government Scholarships
Government Scholarships are provided to the eligible students according to G.O. Ms. No.310, Social Welfare dated 4.4.1977
SCHOLARSHIP AND ENDOWMENTS
Scholarship available for the Students of Govt. Law College, Theni, as applicable to the students belonging to First Graduate of the family, BC/MBC/DNC, SC/ST Scholarships available relating to post matric studies shall be sanctioned subject to 90% attendance by the students who seek and are eligible for the benefit as per the G.O.MS. 310, (SOCIAL WELFARE) DATED 4.4.77) issued by Government of Tamilnadu.
JEEVA ENDOWMENT SCHOLARSHIP
- Donor : Govt. of Tamil Nadu
- Corpus Fund : Rs. 25,00,000/-
- Conditions for the award
First 5 rank holders in each year of the 3 year/5 year of B.L. Degree courses and M.L. Degree course in each year of each branch at the affiliated Govt. Law Colleges.
The candidate should be passed all the subjects in the 1 st attempt itself.
NB: Scholarship is subject to availability of interest accrued on the corpus fund in the account.
THIRUMALAISAMY AUDISESHAN ENDOWMENT
- Donor : Thiru. Audiseshan, Former Vice-Chancellor, TNDALU.
- Corpus Fund : Rs. 25,000/-
- Conditions for the award
Gold Medal shall be awarded to;
- Student getting First Rank in the 3 year B.L. Degree Course.
- Student getting First Rank in the 5 year B.L. Degree Course.
JUSTICE P.N. BHAGAWATHI ENDOWMENT
- Donor : Hon’ble Justice P.N. Bhagawathi
- Corpus Fund : Rs. 25,000/-
- Conditions for the award
A Gold Medal shall be awarded every year to a regular student who secures highest marks in the subject “Human Rights and International Law” in the following courses:
- L. 5 year Degree Course
- L. 3 year Degree Course.
A student should have secured the highest mark in the subject “Human Rights and International Law” and should have secured not less than 50% of the total marks in the year in which the subject is prescribed.
HON’BLE MR. JUSTICE K. VEERASAMY ENDOWMENT
- Donor : Hon’ble Mr. Justice K. Veerasamy
- Corpus Fund : Rs. 1,25,000/-
- Conditions for the award
A regular student who secures First Rank in the Subject “Constitutional Law” in the following courses:
- L. 5 year Degree Course
- L. 3 year Degree Course
THIRU. P. ANANDA RAO ENDOWMENT
- Donor : Mr. P. Ananda Rao,
- Corpus Fund : Rs. 50,000/-
- Conditions for the award
One gold medal in the name of the Thiru. P. Ananda Rao Endowment” to a student securing first rank in Constitutional Law and other gold medal to a student securing First rank in company Law every year in the 3/5 year Law Degree Course shall be awarded.
